Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, service and repair various systems found on heavy equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting malfunctions, repairing and servicing parts, overhauling engines, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. You may also be responsible for training lower-level workers in mechanical repair techniques and performing related work as assigned.
Hard Skills
Proven mechanic experience working on Heavy Machinery such as Excavators, Loaders, Paving Machines, Backhoes, Bulldozers, Dump Trucks, Trenchers, Compactors, Graders, Telehandlers, Backhoe Loaders, Tower Cranes, Feller Bunchers, Dragline Excavator, Wheel Tractor Scraper, Pile Driving Machines, Concrete Pumps
Mechanical, Diesel, Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience required
Soft Skills
Ability to train others
Ability to troubleshoot and repair independently
Good organizational skills
Job Type
This is a permanent position.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Houston, Texas.
Work Environment
This is a mechanic role that may require training in the shop for a few weeks before transitioning to field work to be billed to customer. The environment is non-temperature controlled.
