PREEMP INC - HIRERESOURCE STAFFING Contracts Manager in Houston, Texas

Duration: 6 Months (possible temp-to-hire)

Location: Houston, TX 77079

Schedule: 9/80 Schedule (9Hr Days)

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED requried. Bachelors degree in supply chain, business, or related technical discipline preferred.
  • 5+ years of supply chain management experiencesupporting upstream oil and gas
  • Intermediate level of proficiency conducting RFPs, sourcing evaluations, and post-award contract management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in technical and commercial analytics and evaluations
  • Actively seeks out diverse people and organizations to collectively achieve business goals
  • Transmits information so it is received and understood in the way it was intended
  • Proven ability to implement plans, effective organizational skills
  • Ability to understand business needs and handle supply chain activities

Description:

You will produce and execute supply chain and contracting strategies, plans, and deliverables. Your position will be responsible for the sourcing of services to ensure improvement of best value agreements as part of the Projects Supply Chain team.

Sourcing/ Negotiating / Contracting

  • Sourcing- develop bid tenders and negotiation templates and lead efforts to solicit commercial offerings. Lead ad hoc and emergency requirements.
  • Contracting- negotiate and maintain contractual terms and conditions utilizing Master Service Agreements (MSA's), Purchase Orders (POs), Outline Agreements (OLAs) and other contractual terms and conditions as necessary

Deliver Supply Chain Management (SCM) services:

  • Key Interface- function as key liaison for assigned categories to provide active solutions to business needs
  • Strategy Development and Plan- lead development of sourcing strategies and tactical execution plan for assigned categories
  • Review key category and market factors to determine optimal sourcing strategy
  • Develop work plans and landmark schedules
  • Integrate plans and schedules with business needs to enable on-time execution
  • Identify and participate in continuous improvement and market intelligence practices to drive efficiencies and cost reductions
  • Invoice Management- Help facilitate invoice discrepancies and develop solutions for vendor accuracy and payment
  • System Integration- As client anticipates NexGen ERP, support team in system transition and implementation
