TEKsystems Systems Administrator in Honolulu, Hawaii
Aloha! We are looking for a Systems Administrator that will be primarily responsible for all activities related to the configuration, administration, maintenance, and management of the Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Azure (and other Cloud IaaS environments), Microsoft 365 tenant environment, and Centos Linux servers. This is an exempt FT position and requires flexible schedule availability, i.e. able to work any shift, day, and all holiday(s).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with analyzing IT security threats
• Assist with IT risk and threat assessments
• Assist with monitoring and managing IT activity risk
• Assist with identifying, supervising, and monitoring IT risk mitigation measures
• Assist with managing IT business continuity
• Assist with monitoring/analysis of network intrusion detection data and assist resolving threats
• Assist with IT compliance assessments
• Assist with projects to enhance IT compliance and remediate risk
• Assist with IT compliance control auditing of internal and external services
• Assist with IT compliance reporting
• Assist in identifying and escalating IT compliance issues and remediation requirements
• Support external audits and reports
• Assist IT resilience improvement projects
• Assist enforcing Change Control Procedures
• Execute recurring IT service provider business continuity
• Execute recurring IT business operations continuity
• Manage IT user identity and authorization
• Support integration of identity and authorization policies
• Manage IT user directory
• Manage IT user authorization
• Manage IT user authentication mechanisms
• Audit IT user identity and authorization systems
• Respond to IT information security and network breaches
• Audit integration of user identity and authorization systems
• Manage infrastructure configuration
• Perform infrastructure component maintenance
• Ability to create scripts in Windows CLI and/or Powershell; Linux bash
• This position requires the employee to work onsite at our Corporate Office location.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• College degree preferred
• Two or more years’ experience in a Systems Administrator role or similar
• Experience with Microsoft Windows 10 Pro/Enterprise and Microsoft Windows 11
Pro/Enterprise administration
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of common Windows and Linux application
services such as IIS, Apache, file and printer services
• Familiarity with Windows utilities such as PsTools, Powershell, etc. Linux utilities
such as grep, sed, find, etc. Python a plus.
• Familiarity of regular expressions a plus.
• Detailed working experience with LDAP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, NFS, SMTP, etc.
• Understanding of storage sub-systems such as SAN, NAS, etc.
• Understanding of backup/ recovery schemes and strategies
• Experience with server, workstation, peripheral hardware, and ability to do
hardware maintenance
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge, managing and troubleshooting networking
services
