Queen's Health System Rehabilitation Assistant - Rehab Services Administration (Full-Time, 40, Day) in Honolulu, Hawaii
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Transports patients and equipment, assists in the routine care and treatment of patients, and maintains a clean and orderly department.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Essential: standing, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting and pushing/pulling usual weight of 50 pounds of force; carrying usual weight of 20 pounds.
• Frequent: stooping/bending, climbing stairs, squatting, twisting body, reaching above, at or below shoulders; repetitive arm/hand motion, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods; frequent gripping of an object.
• Occasional: sitting, kneeling, crawling, walking on uneven ground; finger dexterity, lifting and pushing/pulling up to maximum 50 pounds of force; carrying up to maximum 50 pounds.
• Operates, weights, walkers, canes, wheelchairs, telephone, computer and fax machine.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Subjected to both outside/inside environmental conditions. Some exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases.
• Works with electrical/mechanical units.
• Exposed to strong odor/fumes from wipes and cleaning solutions.
• Requires working in a fast paced, stressful environment.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to speak, read, write and understand English both orally and in writing.
• Current certification in BLS/HCP.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• One (1) year patient care work experience or equivalent public contact experience.
