Queen's Health System Kahi Mohala - Senior Clinical Therapist (Full Time, 40, Day) in Honolulu, Hawaii
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plans, coordinates and facilitates the daily activities of the Clinical Therapists and ensures all activities are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Facilitates interdisciplinary team meetings to review patient referrals for admission and provides communication regarding status of referrals.
• Provides support and direction to department/program assigned and serves as a resource to the staff.
• Ensures quality service and patient care in the department.
• Performs duties of a Clinical Therapist.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Essential: seeing, hearing, speaking, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
• Frequent: standing, sitting, walking, lifting and carrying usual weight of 2 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions.
• Occasional: stooping/bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting, twisting body, finger dexterity, frequent gripping of an object.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• Exposed to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
• May be subjected to emotionally charged situations which may compromise physical safety.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or related field.
• Current Hawaii State license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Mental Health Counselor (MHC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required. LCSW highly preferred.
• Current Hawaii State certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor preferred.
• Must meet and maintain credentialing requirements with the State of Hawaii Child & Adolescent Mental Health Division (CAMHD).
• Current BLS certification.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• Three (3) years post graduate experience in a clinical behavioral health setting.
• Prior supervisory/leadership experience.
• Experience in inpatient acute care and residential behavioral health programs highly preferred.
