Our client is seeking an experienced Automated Test Engineer to join their dynamic team. As an integral part of our software development lifecycle, the Automated Test Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our consumer-facing applications and APIs through automated testing frameworks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Define the sequence of actions to verify system functionality, including test steps, preconditions, expected results, and actual results.
Translate manual test cases into automated scripts that can be run by the framework.
Run automated tests to validate software against defined requirements.
Integrate automated test runs with build pipelines and generate reports for business users.
Review test execution outcomes to identify failures or defects.
Collaborate with Business Analysts to review business test criteria and test cases.
Ensure each requirement has objective pass/fail criteria and is testable as written.
Ensure automated tests support business and project objectives.
Engage in discussions with stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of project goals.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in software testing with 3 years in automated testing frameworks in consumer-facing applications and APIs.
Deep knowledge of automated testing frameworks, performance testing, and resilience testing.
3+ years of experience in generating automated test cases and scripts using Selenium, Cypress, and Cucumber frameworks.
Demonstrated experience in Junit, Postman, TestNG, Git, and JIRA Software.
Demonstrated experience in Selenium WDIO, Selenium GridHub, and WebPack.
Demonstrated experience in scripting and configuration tools.
Experience in CI and CD tools and frameworks.
Experience programming in SQL and Python is a plus.
Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to technical and non-technical audiences.
