Aviation/Aerospace Technical Supply Chain Specialist
Description
The Technical Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for the management and execution of the company's New Product Development (NPD) supply chain strategy. These responsibilities include supplier identification/management, demand management and cost control. This role will interface extensively with external and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination with all contributors to the supply chain function. It will entail continuous, tactical execution (Purchasing / Inventory Transactions) together with continuous improvement to ensure optimal supply chain performance. This individual must be self-motivated with the ability to set clear goals, manage issues and escalate when necessary to achieve results meeting tight deadline
Qualifications
-Must have 5+ years of relevant supply chain related experience in manufacturing environment
-Able to read and interpret Engineering Drawings
-Supplier identification and management from request for quotation to delivery acceptance including price negotiation and scheduling.
-Inventory management and coordination to minimize excess material and maximize order fulfillment.
-Data analysis to uncover trends and deviations and thereby facilitate proactive inventory, supply chain and demand management.
-Drive effective and timely communication between upstream and downstream stakeholders to ensure optimal supply chain performance, agility and flexibility.
-Proactively seek out and champion opportunities for improvement and innovation within the supply chain and in the relationships between the supply chain and other business functions.
-Ability to understand manufacturing drawings, aerospace standard specs, and quality requirements in order to operate as the liaison between suppliers, quality dept. & engineering dept. to ensure compliance as well as timely resolution of issues.
-Aerospace, FAA, AS9100 knowledge would be nice to have.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
