Robert Half Accounting Manager in Holland, Michigan
Description
We are looking for an Accounting Manager type to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The position is based on the West Michigan Lakeshore and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. As an Accounting Manager, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including financial accounting, reconciling accruals, and managing the AP/AR department.
Responsibilities:
• Heavy involvement in financial accounting processes
• Learn and handle ME processes and account reconciliations
• Manage and review AP prior to posting, routing, and GL Management
• Send reports and work closely with suppliers and customers for any advanced issues that AP/AR can't handle
• Bring in new ideas for SOP improvements
• Work with the ERP: Epicor / Excel, manipulating pivots and understanding basic if functions and indexing (V, X, lookups, and index match)
• Handle Controllership tasks including Month End Close, Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, and Accruals
• Use Microsoft Excel for various tasks including VLOOKUP and Pivot Table functions
• Maintain the General Ledger.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a strong understanding of VLOOKUP and Pivot Table functions
• Experience in managing Month End Close processes
• Proficient in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
• Experience in managing Accruals
• Strong understanding of General Ledger operations
• Previous experience in a Controller role within a Manufacturing industry is preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
