Essential Responsibilities (included but are not limited to) :

  • Manage Holdrege Finance team supporting financial performance for embecta Holdrege Manufacturing Site

  • Partners with the Manufacturing Operations and Site Leadership team to optimize finance related operational decisions, ensure appropriate financial/accounting rigor, introduce process discipline as needed, and safeguard company assets.

  • Member of the Holdrege embecta Leadership team providing business support including financial management, budgeting, metric reporting, and performance improvement efforts.

  • Manager the monthly accounting process through the handling of transaction data in SAP and monitoring its transfer into the consolidation reporting system.

  • Lead the (quarterly) forecast process and ensure that meetings with site leaders are performed and discussions capture changes to volumes, material prices (PPV), labor, spend and waste trends.

  • Ensure all forecast reporting and supporting schedules are complete, accurate and submitted on time, and lead the forecast review process with site leadership and corporate leadership.

  • Lead the annual product costing process and review cost changes with site leaders as well as corporate leadership. Includes ensuring the accuracy of all BOM (Bills of Materials) and Routers.

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and have overall responsibility for the budget pack. Ensure that all post-costing variances (e.g. budget variances) are captured and phased/timed appropriately.

  • Ensure Capital Expenditures policies and procedures are followed and attend all Capital Budget Request (CBR) meetings. Sign off on all fixed asset forms, including asset changes and disposals.

  • Partners and manages finance activities provided by embecta Corp Finance team, Genpact COE teams, and BD COE teams under transition service agreements.

  • Partner with Continuous Improvement (CTW) team and perform cost-benefit analysis as needed.

  • Site contact for insurance programs including work comp and vehicles.

  • Ensure all tax reporting requirements are completed, accurate and submitted on time.

  • Ensures that financial reports and records are prepared in compliance with US GAAP and embecta financial policies.

  • Ensures that financial controls are maintained and that the requirements of the Sarbanes/Oxley Act are met including the monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.

  • Lead all finance audit activities including the annual audit by both internal and external audit teams.

  • Designs and implements systems and procedures, performs periodic audits, maintains adequate records of original entry and preparation of financial statements which accurately depict the Companies’ operations and performance.

  • Lead and collaborate with the global ERP implementation team to support embecta’s new SAP S/4 Hana ERP Platform

  • Ad hoc projects, and other work that helps support the business as deemed necessary by management.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance Required (CPA/CMA not required but a plus)

  • 10+ years’ experience in Finance/ Accounting

  • 5+ years in plant manufacturing with product costing methodologies required

  • 5+ years senior experience in managing team/ direct reports

  • Prior leadership experience

  • Read, write, and speak English

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in SAP or other manufacturing ERP systems

  • Strong analytic skills and proficiency with Excel, as well as proficiency with other Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

  • Knowledge of capital budgeting, including IRR/NPV principals

  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities and complete all tasks in a detailed and timely fashion.

  • Proactive – someone who anticipates potential problems and is a step ahead.
