The Production Planning Manager is responsible for the Global Manufacturing Production, budget / Last Estimate (LE) volume planning process, inventory level recommendations, and product sourcing matrix. This role owns the master production planning with the objective of improving customer service and achieving working capital objectives at the lowest Total Delivered Cost. Effective communication with internal customers (such as Sales and Marketing) to maintain appropriate service levels is essential to the overall supply chain efficiency. This role reports to the Director of Manufacturing and develops a team of five individuals.

What will you do:

  • Develop monthly global production volume to align inventory and customer service objectives. Facilitate global budgets, volume planning, inventory flow and levels with operations and finance

  • Lead and train on manufacturing scheduling, product sourcing activities, warehouse/delivery and order taking operations

  • Collaborate with Global Supply Chain, Customer Service & Logistics, Network Operations and external business partners to drive operational efficiencies, implement supply network strategies and achieve key metrics daily

  • Develop & align global replenishment and sourcing strategies to balance supply and demand

  • Supervise forward looking global SKU stock coverage optimization, inventory projections, and global month-end finished goods inventory reporting (units and pounds)

  • Review monthly / weekly volume forecasts after confirming with Demand Planning. Adjust finished goods & production plans to align with sales, finance, manufacturing budget objectives

  • Support supply network optimization studies to resolve optimal capacity placement / expansion and sourcing strategies

  • Facilitate monthly Supply Chain review meetings to align plant schedules with customer service key performance indicators

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 6 years of work experience in Manufacturing, Customer Services & Logistics and/or Procurement in a high speed industry

  • Proficient in SAP (APO, PPDS, inventory management)

  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • APICS Certification

  • MBA

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $102,400.00 - $144,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year

  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
