As a member of the Foundry TD Litho Frame Automation Team (FRAT) in FTD (Foundry Technology Development), you will be contributing to software development, configuration management automation, and continuous improvement efforts to enable evolving solutions. You will be stepping into a fast-moving, exciting environment with team members that are open to change, interested in learning, and anxious to help improve the lives of the engineering community at Intel. The Frame is a critical component of every wafer manufactured by Intel which contains silicon structures needed by various lithographic tools for optimal functionality. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Research, design, develop and test scalable software solutions that aid various automation and data management problems related to Frame design.

  • Support existing software tools and continually strive to advance the state-of-the-art, improve the quality and maintainability of software.

  • Interact with multiple internal groups to develop detailed functional specifications for new feature development and enhancements.

  • Implement methodologies and flows around industry standard and custom EDA tools.

  • Develop applications that work in and on industry or hybrid cloud environments using capabilities and frameworks from internal and external cloud providers.

  • Develop and coordinates architecture over various areas, including application development, identity and access management, network and data management, and security.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must possess at least one of the following:

  • A PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or other relevant related degrees with a software focus and 1+ year related experience.

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or other relevant related degrees with a software focus and 3+ year related experience.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or other relevant related degrees with a software focus and 4+ year related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

At least 3+ months of experience with the following:

  • Software engineering practices, debugging tools, and Source control management tools such as Git

  • Python and/or C/C++ Development in a Linux environment

  • REST API design and back-end software development

  • Implementing efficient data structures for software tool development

  • Experience using databases and system design

  • Experience developing Web applications including back-end and front-end frameworks, utilizes HTML, JavaScript libraries etc.

  • Computational geometry algorithms

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
