Robert Half Staff Accountant in High Point, North Carolina

Description We are in search of a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in the consumer products industry, located in High Point, North Carolina. This role will involve maintaining customer accounts, processing credit applications, and handling various accounting tasks. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process and apply receipts to customer accounts

• Maintain and balance accounts receivable daily

• Reconcile customer accounts and generate aging reports

• Assist in maintaining the general ledger and process monthly journal entries

• Calculate amounts for monthly accruals and monitor for changes

• Reconcile bank accounts and verify deposits

• Manage intercompany billing and receipts

• Verify and complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable

• Assist in preparing financial reports

• Request and analyze fixed asset invoice copies from various companies

• Maintain new asset data, perform disposals, and reconcile fixed assets to the General Ledger

Skills required include proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close. The candidate must be capable of working independently and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

• Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations.

• Understanding of the General Ledger and its applications.

• Capable of creating and managing Journal Entries.

• Proficiency in executing Month End Close procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

• Prior experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar is desirable.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Strong computer skills, particularly with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
