Citigroup Finance Quality Assurance – Reporting & Metrics Sr. Analyst (C12) in Heredia, Costa Rica

The Finance Reporting Senior Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for the generation, tracking and submission of financial reports in coordination with the Finance Team. The overall objective of this role is to accurately prepare and report business/financial transactions, reports and statements in accordance with local regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce metrics to senior management highlighting key issues and remediation status and maintain and enhance related operational and analytical procedures

  • Assist in the development of process efficiencies and improvement efforts as well as data quality improvement projects

  • Interpret policies, guidelines, and processes and resolve complex problems and transactions

  • Assist with the management of one or more processes, reports, procedures, or products

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related experience

  • Financial Services Industry and Project Management experience preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Tableau, Office with an emphasis on MS Excel

  • Working knowledge of related industry practices and standards

  • Ability to work with multiple functions

  • Proven problem-solving skills

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

This role is part of the Finance Chief Operating Office (COO) under the Global Quality Assurance Testing and Validation Organization. Quality Assurance (QA) is a key function that validates the accuracy of reported transactions, including data attribute values reported or that are used to support the reporting of underlying transactions, as well as a transaction’s overall conformance to the reporting requirements. Finance Quality Assurance Testing and Validation Organization is a global initiative across five different locations: New York, Tampa, Costa Rica, Manila, and Mumbai.

The Finance Quality Assurance – Reporting & Metrics Sr. Analyst (C12) will be responsible for execute key performance indicator and metrics, produce monthly, weekly, and daily status, validate, align, and coordinate the results with Pillars groups, support and present the final results and manage presentation at senior level.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Understand and execute the key priorities of the Finance Quality program to successful and timely operations management, including interaction between teams, RAG status progress against objectives, SLAs and mitigating risk through proper escalations and issue management.

  • Responsible of the proper execution and monitoring the end-to-end QA Transaction, Conformance and Report Production Controls Testing as per QA Operating Model for a specific reporting pillar including also support to Regulatory Exams as needed.

  • Participate and execute in the development of key performance indicators and operational metrics, including dashboards and other measurements of success, leveraging data analytics tools such as Tableau, SQL, among others.

  • Managing large forums, to create, drive and present senior presentations, including results for each Quality Assurance Testing cycle. Forums includes Quality Assurance Working Group, Oversight Committee, Post-Mortem, Monthly Operation Reviews, etc.

  • Strong interaction and partnership between Quality Assurance process, Report Pillar Leads, and key stakeholders’ teams (CDO, GFT and Report Owners) across the regions to ensure robust operations and metrics in alignment with QA Target Operating Model.

  • Other specific responsibilities as related to the supported function, including requirements gathering, issue root cause remediation and accountability, Ad hoc support for Regulatory, Liquidity and Risk Reporting enquiries as required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the execution of key performance indicator and metrics.

  • Experience in preparing and delivering senior executive-level presentations with excellence, demonstrate a commitment to quality and high attention to detail.

  • Tableau Desktop Specialist certified desired

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project, Access

  • Program and project management skills that include both Waterfall and Agile (Scrum is a plus).

  • Advanced and proven knowledge and/or certification in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project, Access) and SharePoint.

  • Demonstrate experience in the use of Business Intelligent tools as tableau or power BI.

  • Advanced English (Speaking, Reading, Writing)

  • Good interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills which bring clarity and precision at senior executive levels.

  • Ability to work with multiple functions.
