Job Summary
Coordinates a highly motivated training team to ensure all training requirements of the Business Unit (BU) are met. Working with the BU Manager, Supervisors and Coordinators ensures implementation of training procedures, policies and compliance with the Quality Management System. Function in a team environment that requires self-motivation and the ability to work independently. Requires the ability and flexibility to work all shifts, as required.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities
- Control of Training Records for the Business Unit (BU).
- Sets up and maintains training curriculums in Agile.
- Leads reviews of changes to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Training Course Documents (TCDs), and departmental processes; revises department documents and submits changes through Agile.
- When changes impact multiple departments, partner to ensure all applicable documents are appropriately managed. Access the ClassMarker testing platform to create and manage test content.
- Enforces adherences to SOPs and regulatory requirements, including FDA, GMP, ISO and MDSAP.
- Ensures that production operations are compliant with facility safety regulations, and best practices.
- Maintains re-training documentation in Agile.
- Manages various certification statuses within the BU as appropriate, to include new training, re-training and annual reassessments.
- Provides TCDs and applicable documents for all training requests.
- Reviews all department documents which are due for review, and updates as appropriate.
- Collates BU Training Metrics
- Manages the BU electronic training records.
- Assists in monitoring and evaluating site specific training programs. Coordinates updates with Learning & Development Specialist(s) due to document revisions or process changes.
- Audits and observes training conducted by Position Trainers for effectiveness and consistency of training against SOPs.
- Communicates training metrics to departmental leadership on a consistent basis.
- Interprets ClassMarker test results to identify potential gaps in current training curriculum.
- Monitors department NCRs for potential training opportunities or procedural updates.
- Manages department NCR trending and reports to Sr. Leadership monthly.
- Coordinates Training and Up-Skilling within the BU
- Manages the training workflow through BU trainers across multiple shifts, schedules and/or product lines.
- Partners with department leadership to identify training needs and add or remove personnel to and from training as applicable.
- Captures training documentation and enters in to Agile.
- Identifies internal training requirements by monitoring electronic training records to identify gaps that could impact productivity.
- Develops TCDs, ClassMarker tests and training modules.
- Partners with Supervisors and Coordinators to understand training requirements for individual employees
- Utilizes supervisor reports to train applicable personnel on document updates.
- Captures training documentation changes and enters them in to Agile.
- Participates in Train the Trainer program and employs adult learning principles to support BU trainers.
- Assists in the implementation of new equipment or processes by participating in vendor meetings, creation of documents, training plans, and assisting with training schedules.
- Provides initial training for new equipment to the department.
- Participates in validation activities to ensure all processes are accurate.
- Attends and provides input and feedback for BU, during initial design reviews of new equipment.
- Participates in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities for new equipment built.
- Verifies that all required safety and maintenance documents are created and in-line with new equipment for BU.
- Monitors training assignments to ensure training is carried out on schedule.
- Participates in CAPA meetings to perform root cause analysis and create corrective actions related to training.
- Provide input and feedback in Risk Assessment/PFMEA activities to help identify and mitigate risks within processes.
- Prepare deviations that are necessary against current processes, completes and returns all training documentation to Document Control.
- Conducts safety training presentations and ensures that current safety training is up to date within the BU.
- Captures training documentation for safety training and enters into Agile.
- Coordinates New Starts and Leavers within the BU
- Facilitates onboarding of new hires, developing and monitoring.
- As applicable administers appropriate exit activities, to include submitting Service Desk Tickets.
- Participates as an active member of the West Henrietta Training Team
- Partners with other BU Training Leads, and L& D Team.
- Shares best practices, develops consistent training approaches and shares improvement opportunities.
- Supports CVI training initiatives.
- Actively engages in internal and external audits.
- Serves as an ambassador for Lean processes/principles.
- As business needs dictate, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks, to include mandatory overtime.
- Other projects and/or duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong, applicable knowledge/understanding of business/operations
- Excellent numerical, verbal and literacy skills
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to interpret and cascade advanced procedural and regulatory requirements
- Exhibits leadership skills, and is able to effectively provide direction to others
- Ability to analyze training data
- Possesses basis functional systems knowledge of ERP, Agile, GPS, JDA, Exacta and/or ability to quickly/effectively learn these, and other applicable systems utilized within BU
- Excellent time management skills; able to work within multiple timelines, and work streams, simultaneously

Work Environment
- Normal warehouse/production and/or office environment with regular exposure to heat and/or cold
- Available, and flexible to work all shifts as required
- May be required to travel to as needed to other sites/locations
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of training experience required; preferably in a manufacturing, production or warehousing environment
- Demonstrated capacity for leadership
- Lean Six Sigma, VSM experience a plus
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $22.90 and $27.89 per hour and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
