Summary:
The Sleep Lab Coordinator provides oversight for the department to ensure operational consistency with smooth patient and process flow. The Coordinator, as a Registered Polysomnography Technologist, works under the general supervision of the medical director (MD, DO or PhD) or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and out of center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education and is credentialed in sleep technology. The Coordinator also provides clinical support for other sleep center staff as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Performs polysomnographic data acquisition while monitoring tracing quality to ensure signals are artifact-free. Identifies and corrects signal abnormalities. Documents routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure and other significant events in order to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results. Maintains/documents on medical record according to policy and maintains files and handles documents appropriately. Scores sleep studies in an accurate and timely manner.
• Completes payroll duties for Sleep lab staff. Provides clinical support for other Sleep Lab staff and demonstrates leadership by displaying appropriate interpersonal skills and positive attitude, promoting and encouraging a cohesive, engaged team environment.
• Monitors performance of staff ensuring quality and accuracy of work; provides feedback as needed. Notifies manager of concerns and recommendations for disciplinary action. Assists with the completion of performance evaluations for the staff within the department.

Qualifications
Required
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist by BRPT.
• Three years of experience performing sleep studies, including PAP titrations (i.e., CPAP, BiLevel and other approved devices).
Preferred
• Prefer one year previous supervisory experience.
