Position Description

The Maintenance Supervisor has overall responsibility for all terminal maintenance activities (asset integrity), with duties including, but not limited to performance management of maintenance crew, safety, quality control, budgeting, compliance and regulatory matters. The total number of employees managed will be eight (8). Ensures that Maintenance department operates in accordance with all established corporate goals, objectives, and policies.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

•Responsible for effective and efficient management of all maintenance programs and activities to ensure the proper and safe operation condition of assets and equipment.

•Effective supervision, development, motivation, and appraisal of subordinates. Maintain appropriate crew levels. •Coordinate critical maintenance activities and issues with Engineering and Operations departments.

•Provide effective status reports as necessary in order to clearly communicate important maintenance activities.

•Performs duties between Financial, Engineering, EHS, Transportation, and Operations in order to maintain efficient management of maintenance and resolve any difficulties relating to scheduling issues.

•Supervises functions related to outside Contractors in order to protect company interests.

•Supervises Terminal Maintenance crew to achieve goals within budgeted funds and available personnel.

•Plans and organizes workloads and crew assignments, reviews progress, directs changes in priorities and schedules as needed to assure work is completed in an efficient and timely manner.

•Participates in the selection/promotion of staff and disciplinary matters.

•Conducts performance evaluations and resolves grievances with HR assistances.

•Coordinates new hire orientation training and programs.

•Manages, coordinates and/or reviews numerous projects within assigned area of responsibility.

•Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations affecting terminal operations.

•Writes scope of work, estimates, and submittal for bids for projects requiring outside Contractors.

•Effectively plan, schedule, and manage multiple projects at one time.

•Lead and oversee multiple Contractors to ensure projects and schedules are met.

•Maintain an effective preventative and corrective maintenance program including computerized maintenance management systems in Dossier and Maximo in accordance with company policies and procedures.

•Provide oversight and management of Dossier and Maximo.

•Organize projects whereby reviewing and managing expenditures and commitments, and prepare monthly cost control reports.

•Work for Terminal Manager of Engineering and Maintenance.

•Ensure all work performed is in compliance with company environmental, health, and safety policies.

•Regular and predictable attendance.

•Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education:

•High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience / Specific Knowledge:

•A minimum of 3 years, well-rounded experience in storage tank maintenance is highly desirable and should include specific working experience with product movements, pipeline maintenance, and personnel management, legal and environmental requirements affecting pipeline activities.

•Has a good understanding of product pumps and motors.

•Experience with Mississippi River docks including fixed cranes (hydraulics), nitrogen and air systems, as well as steam boiler systems will be a plus.

Certifications, licenses, registrations:

•A satisfactory driving record as determined by the Company and current, valid State driver’s license are required.

•Ability to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credentials) card.
