Role Summary

 The Regional Payroll Manager (US/CA) will oversee all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments of employees in the United States and Canada. You will collaborate with various departments to gather and validate payroll information, resolve payroll discrepancies, and provide exceptional service to our employees. This role also includes designing/improving processes, developing, and executing operating procedures, quantifying, and improving data integrity, and leveraging technologies to drive efficiencies, while ensuring compliance with country and local laws. This role requires the ability to both manage an organization and be hands-on to get the work done. As the leader of the Regional payroll team, you will be responsible for the processing payroll in the United States and Canada using ADP GlobalView and Celergo payroll software, Workday HRIS software, UKG Kronos time and attendance software, and other 3rd party inbound and outbound vendors.

Requirements

  • Build and manage regional payroll team setting goals and managing performance.

  • Manage end to end payroll processing for all Copeland employees in the United States and Canada.

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies relating to payroll.

  • Administer and maintain payroll systems, ensure data integrity, and implement system upgrades and enhancements.

  • Provide leadership and support of global work plans to ensure compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness.

  • Maintain pulse on industry trends and best practices in Payroll Service, technology and service deliver finding opportunities to enhance our capabilities and drive continuous improvement.

  • Stay updated on payroll regulations, tax laws and industry trends, implementing necessary ensure compliance and best practices.

  • Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll related information.

  • Take an active role ininternal and external audits. ​

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in payroll management in processing in the United States and Canada with 5 or more years leading a team

  • Experience with a broad range of US states and Canada supporting full cycle payroll of 3,000+ employees

  • In-depth knowledge of global payroll processes, labor laws, taxation, and statutory compliance.

  • Proven experience leading teams to achieve results.

  • Proficiency in payroll and time tracking systems, such as Workday, ADP GlobalView and Celergo,UKG Kronos, with experience implementing and managing payroll systems.

  • English fluency in verbal and written communications

  • Ability to clearly articulate messages with all levels in the organization, including breaking down complex topics for target audiences.

  • Ability to understand business priorities and align technology opportunities.

  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution.

  • Demonstratean elevated level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing payroll processes and procedures and SOX audits

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the base salary range for this role is $100,000- $131,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
