Join our cutting-edge team at the Office of Administration's General Government Delivery Center (GGDC), Information Technology Office. We design, develop, deploy, and maintain computer applications in support of GGDC Customer agencies. Some of these applications impact all agencies in their collaborations with administrative agencies, companies wishing to do business with the Commonwealth, and the general public. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This Senior Applications Developer position designs highly complex applications in support of GGDC operations. Responsibilities include ensuring that the coding is consistent with the system requirements and that design both applies and conforms to application procedures and standards while providing new functionalities. This includes coordinating with server and database teams for deployment and troubleshooting, incorporating appropriate security policies and practices during development, and performing maintenance and upkeep of existing applications. Your expertise is essential for ensuring interoperability between multiple applications across heterogeneous platforms to keep our services running smoothly.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You are required to work in the office 1 day per month. More frequent days in the office may be required during the training period, or by management request. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Applications Developer 2 or Computer Programmer 4; or Five years of information technology experience that includes three years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
