The Bureau of Motor Vehicles is currently seeking a Clerical Assistant 2 to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that customers have the necessary insurance documents to operate their motor vehicles by assisting with document examination and data entry. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will have the task of reviewing and inputting financial responsibility details. This will involve making decisions on suspensions, cancellations, reinstatements, restorations, citations, renewals, and processing vehicle registration records. You will also determine whether to approve or deny registration plates, cards, and stickers based on the information provided. Your main responsibility will be to evaluate applications and decide whether to accept or process them based on the documentation provided. This will require assessing the content and selecting the appropriate processing or error response codes. Additionally, you will handle certified mail received by the financial department, including opening, tracking, and processing it. Another aspect of your role will involve conducting phone verifications with insurance agents and departments to gather information about customers' financial responsibility.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 75 hours bi-weekly Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
