DESCRIPTION OF WORK An Auditor 1 provides guidance to Accounting Assistants by reviewing reconciled accounts and related documentation for completeness and accuracy and make final adjustments to accounts where required. You also assist with providing instruction and training to the staff; assist staff with workflow; identify procedural issues and report problems to the audit supervisor; and establish effective and professional working relationships with departmental staff, dealers, and other agencies. In addition, you access and review batch reports for identification of account discrepancies. This includes interpreting legislation, rules, regulations, and policies for staff.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30-minute lunch. This position is not eligible for telework. Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $49,839.00 (before taxes). Please check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Four years of accounting and/or auditing experience; and fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting;or One year of experience as a Financial Programs Trainee; or Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which includes fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting and auditing . You must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Police within the probationary period and maintain the same for the duration of employment in this job.
