Need 1 full time temporary, seasonal Farm Equipment Mechanic to work in Hancock, MN. From: 02/03/2024 to 12/02/2024 Work: 65 hrs./week, Mon. -Fri. 12hrs./day, Sat. 5hrs./day. Hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and / or productivity. As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. ESST Law: Effective 01/01/2024. JOB DESCRIPTION: Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems. Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand and power tools. Workers may clean buildings, work areas, machines, vehicles, parts, and equipment. Record details of repairs made, and parts used. Workers must be able to see and hear to take visual and verbal direction, work with others or independently, no smoking, drug or alcohol use is permitted. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have 3 months experience. Must be physically able to regularly lift 50 lbs. Able to perform work that requires exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements. Drug testing will be performed either randomly or upon incidence, accident or suspicion, a positive test is grounds for immediate termination. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
