We are seeking several reliable and skilled/trainable Ready Mix Concrete Drivers to join our team in the Greater Bangor and Ellsworth Regions. The ideal candidates will be responsible for safely transporting ready mix concrete to construction sites, ensuring timely delivery, and upholding excellent customer service standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safe Operation: Safely operate a ready mix concrete truck according to company and industry standards, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Concrete Delivery: Transport ready mix concrete to construction sites promptly and efficiently, ensuring accurate quantities and quality of the delivered product.
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that the vehicle is in good working condition. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, including courteous interactions with customers and site personnel. Follow instructions for concrete placement as directed by site supervisors.
Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery tickets, mileage, fuel consumption, and any other necessary documentation.
Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following company safety policies at all times.
Communication: Maintain effective communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient delivery schedules.
REQUIREMENTS:
Commercial Driver\'s License (CDL): Valid CDL Class A or B with a clean driving record.
Experience: Previous experience operating a ready mix concrete truck or similar heavy-duty vehicles like dump trucks preferred.
Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including loading and unloading concrete, as well as navigating uneven terrain at construction sites.
Safety Consciousness: Strong commitment to safety protocols and safe driving practices.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach and the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
