Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Formulates and administers company policies relating to regulatory, statutory, industry, and customer requirements and develops long-range goals and objectives.

  • Implement communication, monitoring, and enforcement of compliance standards.

  • Develop, assess, improve, and revise as needed product, compliance, or operational risk management strategies.

  • Direct and/or assist as designated, that policies, procedures, and programs for safety, disaster recovery/business continuity, commerce, environmental, and other regulatory concerns are consistent throughout the corporation

  • Demonstrates an understanding of the relevant regulations, standards, and operating procedures.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of the requirements and has the ability to perform gap assessments to those requirements.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of quality concepts such as cost of quality, analytical metrics and /or statistics, trending, quality planning, validation, CAPA, and problem-solving.

  • Works cross-functionally and has the ability to interpret the requirements as well as educate and influence others on those requirements.

  • Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with Quality Procedures, Laws and Regulations of the applicable Markets

  • Manages preparation and scheduling of Quality Management System audits – 3rd party and customer.

  • Interfaces with customers and 3rd party auditors in the administration of issued nonconformances.

  • Accumulates ongoing data and objective evidence for audit preparation. Inclusive of department needs on a corporate and branch level.

  • Performs collection and prepares reports for all locations for Management review per AS/ISO standards.

  • Assists and coordinates the addition and achievement of certification(s) for new business opportunities.

  • Coordinates and communicates quality objectives across all locations.

  • Prepares compliance audit data by compiling and analyzing internal and external information.

  • Ensure that appropriate corrective/preventative action(s) are established and validated for effectiveness.

  • Administrates internal and external audits as determined by each department. Includes workstation audits.

  • Perform investigations/root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for nonconformances from internal and external audits.

  • Review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions

  • Administrator in IAQG OASIS database for AS9100.

  • Maintains documented manuals, procedures, instructions, etc. within available operating systems to ensure consistency across all locations

  • Disseminate written policies and procedures related to compliance activities.

  • Supports the compliance department with ongoing communication, formulation, confirmation, and implementation of regulatory, statutory, industry and customer-stated requirements.

  • Keep current and informed regarding existing, pending amendments, and newly issued standards, industry changes, trends, and best practices; advise management on needed actions; assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes and policies enforcing adherence to requirements;

  • Create, establish, implement, and manage employee training on quality management systems-related topics, policies, or procedures. Oversee internal/external resource and reporting systems and ensure training and information about these systems are provided to the appropriate employees.

  • Review and/or modify procedures and policy guidelines to comply with changes to regulatory standards or regulations

  • Assist personnel by answering questions and responding to requests.

  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5 years in Quality Management capacity

  • Aerospace and manufacturing backgrounds are preferred

  • College Degree or equivalent experience in a related field

  • Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality Management Systems

  • Understanding of Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing tools
