Honeywell Lead Software Engineer - JAVA Technical Lead in Hamilton, New Jersey
As a Java Technical Lead here at Honeywell Connected Life Sciences, you will be responsible for leading a team of Java developers and driving the development of software solutions for the life sciences industry. Your role will involve providing technical guidance, overseeing the design and implementation of Java applications, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will report directly to our Senior Engineering Program Supervisor, and you'll work out of our Hamilton, NJ location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the development of software solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and safety in the life sciences industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and reliable Java applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and reliable Java applications
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices in Java development
YOU MUST HAVE
• 6+ years of experience in Java development
• 2+ years of AWS experience
• 1+ years of React experience
WE VALUE
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with AWS services: Lambda, Glue, Athena, CloudFront, Sagemaker
• Experience with developing AI and/or machine learning applications
• Experience in the life sciences industry
• Knowledge of software development best practices and methodologies
• Strong leadership and communication skills
