Job Summary:
Hamilton Community Schools is looking for a dedicated individual to take on the role of Hawkeye Preschool and Before & After School Multi-site Coordinator. This position involves comprehensive management responsibilities, including handling licensing and paperwork, providing direction and oversight, evaluating and managing staff, and ensuring high-quality experiences and programming for the district's preschool and before and after school child care programs.

Job Description:
- Leads the preschool programs, before and after school care, and summer child care programs
- Create and implement a summer child care program each summer, June to August
- Provide customer support to parents
- Manage parent connections and communication
- Manage student and staff childcare schedules, hours of work, and invoices for childcare
- Maintain compliance with all state licensing regulations, including fire and health codes
- Maintain a positive relationship with the state and local consultants
- Keep accurate records for food program
- Supervision of preschool and before and after school child care staff, including interviews and hiring processes
- Direct the recruiting, screening, orientation and training of staff and make recommendations on the placement of staff
- Lead/Assist in public relations and community activities for the preschool and childcare programs
- Ability to assist and problem-solve escalated situations involving student behavior and/or adult situations
- Arrange medical attention for ill or injured children or medication disbursement in accordance with parental instruction and program policies
- Assist in the leadership and program management of GSRP preschool, as a partnership with Ottawa Area ISD
- Attend OAISD monthly GSRP meetings
- Duties, as assigned by the Director of Student Services, related to childcare, needs
Hours:
Monday-Friday - 40-hour weeks
School year work hours:
- Alternating schedule: 6:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. and 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood-related field, early childhood teaching endorsement (ZS or ZA) preferred
- School administration certification preferred
- Three to five years experience with licensed child-care management and development preferred
- Past supervision experience preferred
- Experience with GSRP preferred
- Have at least two years of professional experience working with children
- Meet the state-accredited rating requirement
- CPR and first aid certification preferred, or ability to become certified
- Obtain a TB Test before beginning employment
- Be able to clear a state criminal background check
- Must excel in problem-solving and working in varied situations with a flexible schedule
- Must be available to support staff and answer calls from 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday - Friday during the school year
- Must demonstrate an enthusiasm for working with children, young adults, and parents
- Must be physically able to perform all duties required of this position
