Seeking 2nd shift Manual Lathe Machinist
Job Description
Operate multiple manual lathe machines throughout the shop to repair barge components. The role requires someone mechanically inclined, who owns a set of micrometer and calipers.

Convert fractions to decimals
Able to read machinist scales
Work with bearings, brass, iron, and Duramax materials

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Hahnville, Louisiana.
Work Environment
Boat yard - working outside in any conditions including extreme heat and cold, rain, snow. Must be extremely cautious of PPE requirements in each section of the shipyard - safety/PPE violations lead to immediate termination. The 2nd shift is responsible for working Monday through Friday, 3:30-12:30. Weekends and overtime are assigned as needed. When scheduled for a 12-hour shift, the timing will be 3:30-3:30.
