What you’ll do:
Job summary
This position is responsible for delivering key engineering results for the Aerospace Conveyance - Hose and Fittings products portfolio and allied Centers of Excellence, including building organizational capability and capacity within the region and executing the global engineering strategy for the Group.
Job responsibilities
Leader in this position will be responsible for -
Meeting the schedule, scope, cost and technical targets for all projects under his/her control, by managing the shared pool of engineering resources.
Provide visible leadership to guide, coach and develop the next level organizational and technical leaders.
Select, hire and retain employees in the department; develop and maintain relationships with global stakeholders, technical community and academia. Leverage internal and external partnerships for continuous advancements of the capability.
Continuously develop and enhance the technical capabilities of the teams to provide best in class products in line with present and future business needs.
Participate in the creation of technology road map based on Product/COE Strategy globally and deploy them within the group and build organization’s capability.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the value proposition and quality of the engineering deliverables.
A highly entrepreneurial sense of urgency along with a passion for the industry is desirable, along with a drive to grow both personally and professionally.
The position requires the incumbent to be highly proficient in engineering skills, project management and documentation with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, thus enabling first time right product development and execution of NPI/VAVE/Cost out concepts."
Qualifications:
Education level required
Masters degree in Mechanical / Aeronautical Engineering
Years and area of experience required Relevant experience in Aerospace/Allied domain - 12+ years with Masters degree / 16+ years with bachelors degree. Experience of working with multinational engineering organization
Technical knowledge
Should have demonstrated skills in:
- Demonstrated experience in leading/ managing engineering organization
- Leading product & technology full life cycle development experience.
- Developing multi generation technology and product development plans
- Developing positive customer relations, participation in Technology events with customers
- Continuous improvement methodologies, DFX application"
