Amazon is seeking a rock star Software Development Engineer who will own, architect and shape the future of our FinTech Taskless Tax with capabilities to process withholding taxes applicable on invoices and making related payments, provide financial data integration and process global tax requirements across Amazon.

The software platform is among the largest in the world by volume and complexity handling billions of dollars of payments. We partner integrally with the CFO organization worldwide, including the central finance functions and line of business leadership. Key job responsibilities

-Collaborate with all stakeholders to determine functional and non-functional requirements for software development

-Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility

-Write clean, maintainable code while rapidly iterating and shipping the features

-Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to the development team

-Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior developers

-Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility, etc.

-Approve final product before launch

Qualifications:

-Proven experience as Software Architect or Principal engineer

-Experience in software development and coding in various languages (esp. Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.)

-Excellent knowledge of designing and developing Microservices

-Strong knowledge of Spring Framework, Hibernate, Kafka, Redis, etc.

-Good knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases

-Good knowledge of design and development of Distributed Systems

-Proven experience on any of the Cloud platforms

-A technical mindset with great attention to detail

-Strong communication and presentation abilities

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
