Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly skilledSr. Control & Automation Engineer (SPI- SmartPlant Instrumentation) to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Gurugram, Haryana.
As the successful candidate, you will:
Produce and maintain technical and engineering deliverables using SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) software as required.
Responsible for the production of Instrument index, Instrument Data Sheet, loop diagrams, termination drawings, cable schedules using SPI in accordance with project requirements under the supervision of the Lead Instrument Engineer.
Interface Wiring Details (DCS–PLC, DCS – MCC, PLC–MCC), Process Instrument
Hook-up, I/O list, Preparation of BOM / Bulk MTO etc
Be part of a multi-disciplinary project team in a large EPC/M project environment.
Produce accurate deliverables in a time-effective manner to meet project schedule objectives.
Adhere to and promote the Hatch corporate safety culture.
Apply industry best practices and the requirements of IEC/IEEE/or local codes/standards as applicable to the respective project in executing instrumentation design work.
Check deliverables prior to release for self and of others in the team, if required.
Prioritize project or program discipline actions for the purpose of achieving deliverable quality and adherence to schedule.
Perform as-built redlining of drawings and make updates in accordance with the redlines.
Manage the schedule on project or program including multidiscipline interactions, if required.
You bring to the role:
Essential
B.Tech./ B.E. in Electrical/ Electronics or Instrumentation engineering from a recognized University.
More than 9 years of engineering experience.
Worked in a multi-disciplinary environment on large projects in the mining, mineral processing, power, infrastructure sectors and/or heavy industrial projects.
Extensive experience with SmartPlant Instrumentation(SPI)
Sound knowledge of industry or regulatory codes and standards.
Sound knowledge of workflows for Instrumentation systems.
Understanding of other discipline requirements.
Willingness to stretch, take ownership, quality conscious.
Openness to do multitasking
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Experienced Instrument Engineer, with experience obtained in Instrumentation and Control Systems
Experience in multi-disciplinary engineering project environment (detailed engineering phases) in the Metals/ Mining/ Minerals processing/ Power/ Infrastructure sectors
Plant and facility construction supervision and commissioning
Good leadership skills & Strong client focus.
