Job overview and responsibilities

Provides data-driven and intelligent automation services and solutions that help super charge Internal Audit’s ability to go after risk and enhance every aspect of the function. This position will primarily work with Audit management & Project Leads to support ad-hoc data requests, develop and maintain advanced analytics through analytics tools and an analytics platform, and help increase the departments analytics IQ through training and collaborative work. This team member will leverage data to enable greater efficiency, expand audit coverage, and drive deeper analysis that translates into strategic actionable insights. They will help tell the data story with data triangulation and visualizations.

Core Data Analytics, Strategy and Program Support:

  • Executes on Data Analytics strategy developed by IA management within the context of audit responsibilities, such as risk assessment, audit planning, creation of reusable tools, and provides innovative solutions to complex problems.

  • Builds production-ready analytical tools and workflows to simplify and automate repeatable and reusable processes within IA.

  • Advances the analytics program and platform by creating and enhancing processes, templates, and tools that can be reused to mature and optimize capabilities

  • Helps train team members and promote the use of intermediate to advance analytics within the department

Project Management and Execution:

  • Drives the innovative use of audit analytics through direct participation in all phases of audits (planning, fieldwork and reporting)

  • Demonstrates project management experience through using available tools and technology and escalate project management issues as needed

  • Is able to work through problem solving and solutioning independently and in an efficient manner, and solicits input from others strategically

  • Independently leads internal and external stakeholder meetings, understands business processes, designs analytical procedures, and identifies data-driven solutions that expand risk and testing coverage

  • Designs and supports digital dashboards that visualize audit results, findings, and strategic insights Prepares and presents to IA leadership and stakeholders project results, recommendations, insights, and conclusions supported by advanced analytics

  • Supports, plans, coordinates, conducts, and documents audits/reviews in accordance with Internal Audit and IPPF Standards

Business Acumen and collaboration:

  • Partners with audit teams to help identify risks associated with businesses and facilitate strategic data sourcing and develops innovative solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness of audit testing.

  • Collaborates withs teams to sense, evaluate, and embed data-driven risk management activities into the business operating rhythm.

  • Understands the internal control environment and develops data-supported recommendations to optimize risk through root-cause analysis

  • Builds and manages relationships and communications with Audit team members and the analytics community

This p osition is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 4+ years of experience with analytics

  • Expertise in Python, SQL, and visualization tools

  • Proficient in statistics, including descriptive statistics, data distribution models, Time Series Analysis, correlation, and regression

  • Experience with database querying using Teradata SQL and/or Microsoft SQL

  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship

  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Master’s Degree

  • Experience in audit, risk management, finance, data analytics and technology functions

  • Experience with data preparation tools such as Monarch and Data Snipper preferred

  • Direct experience in the transportation/aviation fields and BIG4s

  • Prior financial and operational audit testing experience

  • Experience working with Palantir Foundry platform

  • Experience with analytical/ statistical programs such as SAS, SPSS, and R
