Description

Fuse plays the critical role of driving expanded coverage for Amazon's various subscription programs (Prime, Prime Video, etc) through strategic partnerships in the telco, pay TV and other sectors. This role, owning growth for APAC, will lead a team of smart, curious and hungry marketers across the region with a mandate to ensure the success of our partnerships through close collaboration with partner teams (external as well as internal) on programmatic as well as opportunistic GTM with the help of data-backed insights, sharp analyses, leveraging of sectoral expertise (telco in particular), and lots of creativity and resilience.

Key job responsibilities

The role will own the delivery of goals from same-store sales (existing partnerships) which have an outsize impact on our performance. In addition, the role will also be responsible for the creation and execution of launch plans for new partnerships that ensure strong performance from day 1. As a senior manager, the growth leader will support their team in these efforts through a) thought leadership, b) building partner alignment, c) helping unblock with internal stakeholders, and d) prioritise for the team to ensure optimal use of scarce bandwidth, leveraging structured and unstructured mechanisms (periodic reviews and updates, one on one engagement with leaders, etc). The leader will have considerable freedom of operation, and will be expected to navigate ambiguity on behalf of the team. They will continuously work at creating standardised playbooks that institutionalise learnings for future actions. They will be in a key position where they can and will be expected to influence strategy for the region. At a larger level, they will also be expected to act as a force multiplier for the larger Fuse org, sharing insights and best practices from the region to global teams.

A day in the life

The growth leader will be expected to spend time on:

  • Work with team to evaluate progress on outcomes as well as input actions, and prioritise where needed

  • Identify blockers to progress and execute actions to resolve (collaboration with relevant teams, escalation to leadership, as the case may be)

  • Engage with senior leadership to ensure key information dissemination as well as support

  • Engage in pre-decided as well as ad-hoc partner meetings (internal and external)

  • consciously set aside time for to inspect where future growth will come from and how

  • contribute to strategic thought initiatives through docs

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • 7+ years of professional or military experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner

  • Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations
