The Assistant Manager – Accounting is responsible for actively managing the accounting function, external and internal financial audits, internal management reporting as well as Statutory Accounting as per US GAAP and IGAAP reporting for the India business.
This position is part of the Finance Function and will be located in Gurugram. At Cepheid our vision is delivering a Better Way to improve patient outcomes by enabling access to molecular diagnostic testing everywhere.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Support the end to end accounting of business transactions in India, including AP/AR/GL accounting close, balance sheet and Statutory Accounting/Reporting, tax accounting, service accounting in line with the US GAAP and IGAAP
Timely closure of month end activities comprising but not limited to payroll recording, employee benefit related accruals, Intercompany reconciliations, prepaid expenses, intercompany charge outs, lease accounting, inventory management . Support on the preparation of month end MIS
Preparation of financial statements in line with the IGAAP, quarterly STAAT to GAAP reconciliation b/w India and US books
Responsible for local Statutory Audit, ICFR, Internal Audit conducted by external consultants as well as DHR Corporate team.
Knowledge of the tax laws (GST, Income Tax, Transfer Pricing), filing of monthly tax returns with the help of external consultants. Ensuring timely completion of tax audits, transfer pricing audits.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Chartered Accountant with 3+years of experience or an MBA with 10+ years of experience
Prior knowledge of working with SAP
Strong Stakeholder management both internal and external.
Keeping updated with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends.
