This is a job for a CENTER DIRECTOR position with the company located in Gulfport, MS area.

Job Summary: Directly supervises directors of Finance & Administration, Social Development, Human Resources, Student Personnel Officer, Wellness, Career Services, OA/CTS, and an Administrative Assistant. Responsible for the overall management, performance, and environment of the center to create an effective employability delivery system for student training in compliance with government, corporate and management directives.

Responsibilities: Plans, coordinates, and directs the total administrative and programmatic activities of the contract. Coordinates with corporate, DOL, and other contractor personnel to ensure efficient contract functioning and compliance. Establishes center plans, programs, goals, and objectives to ensure achievement through management controls, effective planning, implementation, and management accountability. Recommends and executes decisions on contract, budget, organization, program, and administrative matters in accordance with DOL and corporate policy. Provides staff training; evaluates staff performance and implements organizational and personnel actions to produce delivery of quality student services. Maintains communication with student body via student government association and conduct meetings on a group or individual basis; meets regularly with SGA executive council. Ensures efficient center functioning in compliance with Job Corps policy and requirements handbook, data integrity guidelines, and all corporate and other DOL requirements. Establishes and maintains close contact with government, community, civic and news media officials to promote acceptance and involvement in the program. Develops, amends, and implements the CDSS plan to effectively integrate curricula, develops student employability, and coordinates all phases of CDSS including outreach, career preparation, career development, and career transition services. Provides control of center reports, policies, procedures, torts and other claims, staff travel, student terminations, disclosure of information, experimental projects, and emergency use of personnel, equipment, and facilities. Develops and oversees quality residential living and recreation programs. Provides interface and coordination with corporate and regional offices, regional OA/CTS contractors, etc. Directs budgeting activities and control of expenditures; monitor labor budget and ensure staffing within budgetary limits. Schedules and oversees self-audits and self-assessments; prepare related reports; maintains a comprehensive self-assessment system. Regularly inspects facilities; maintain quality standards. Develops and implements an effective and consistent behavior management system that complies with Job Corps policy, promote positive student behavior and performance and, helps students change behavior. Ensures effective operation of health and wellness services in compliance with Job Corps policy; oversees contracted health subcontracts. Analyzes statistical trends, organizational problems, and operational requirements; takes appropriate action. Reviews and makes recommendations on grievances, discrimination charges, requests for termination, and other critical personnel matters, forwards to corporate office for approval. Promotes and supports center zero tolerance policies. Maintains accountability of students and property; adheres to safety practices. Cultivates and maintains a climate at the center, which is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn. Promotes the development of career success standards through modeling appropriate skills, monitoring student skill acquisition, and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed; provide regular feedback to staff regarding mentoring and intervention techniques. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; Five years' experience in program management and direction experience, two of which include working with youth; Successfully pass any background check and/drug test required on the contract. Ability to obtain & maintain valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
