JOB TITLE: Infrastructure & Capital Projects – Capital Projects Management Associate Manager
This position is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and you need to be willing to relocate to Puerto Rico or currently live in Puerto Rico to be considered.

YOU ARE:
A person who has lived and breathed engineering, construction, project management and project controls who likes to think big-picture and help find solutions. You have a solid working knowledge and experience in the engineering documentation and information management processes required to build and modernize physical assets, infrastructure, and buildings. You have experience and/or interests in digital solutions that can help clients do more. You are good with people and eager to learn new project and product solutions. You are comfortable supporting project leads during meetings and workshops, and able to support with material and content development.
THE WORK:
You’ll manage vegetation clearing RFP events
You’ll manage vegetation clearing contractor performance
You’ll ensure compliance with contracts and execution plans
You'll coordinate and integrate activities across multiple functional lines to ensure successful project completion.
You'll oversee finances, cost engineering, scheduling, environmental considerations, and regulatory agency requirements.
You'll manage labor relations, public and client relations, employee relations, and stay updated on changing laws.
You'll interface with both external and internal stakeholders to coordinate project requirements.
You'll provide regular project status updates to the Program Manager and customer’s project management team.
You'll identify and obtain necessary project team resources to meet project goals.
You'll be accountable for the overall performance of the project, including scope, quality, schedule, and innovation.
You'll serve as the primary communicator with project sponsors and key stakeholders regarding project issues.
You'll review contractors' invoices for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper financial control.
You'll lead and facilitate regularly scheduled, detailed project presentations and status updates.
Onsite Work Requirement: The work location for this role is Puerto Rico.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
5 years Project Management experience in the electric utility industry
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferred or equivalent experience
Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
Vegetation Management preferred
PMP certification or willingness to obtain PMP within a designated time.
Expertise in electric transmission and substation construction.
Ability to coordinate multiple contractors and work groups.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Strong understanding of OSHA safety policies and project management.
Experience managing large, complex project budgets.
Proven leadership in supervising teams and resources.
Effective communication skills (written, oral, presentations).
Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Leadership qualities to guide teams and manage stress.
