Federal Acquisition Service Supervisory Acquisition Project Manager in GSA, United States

Summary As a Supervisory Acquisition Project Manager, you will serve as a Branch Chief under a designated Client Sector. This office provides cradle-to-grave acquisition, project, and financial management support. Location of position: Federal Acquisition Services (FAS)-AAS organizations in the states of CO, MD, MA, FL, NH, VA, NY, UT, AZ, CA, DC, GA, MI, NC, PA, or TX. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed. Responsibilities This position has job functions that must be executed within specific geographic locations. The official duty station is a federal facility, leased space, or an alternative worksite (typically the employee’s home) within the specified geographic area. If you are selected for this position you will be expected to report to the duty station listed on this announcement within 45 days. At that time, you may be eligible to request to telework one or more days a pay period depending upon the terms of the agency’s telework policy. Major duties include, but are not limited to the following: Oversees the execution and management of commercial and/or non-commercial acquisitions, including but not limited to information technology (IT) services, professional services, digital services, operations and maintenance, and managed services, ensuring they are carried out in the most economical, effective, and efficient manner while adhering to applicable regulations, statutes, and policies. Ensures subordinate project management professionals apply project management, fiscal, and Federal Acquisition guidelines (e.g., law, regulations) and principles to the development and execution of client requirements throughout the acquisition environment life cycle. Presents, briefs, and meets with leadership and other high-ranking officials across various agencies and client agencies as required. Addresses matters of significant consequence and importance related to the program and procurements under management. Provides guidance for templates, policies, processes, and legal precedents directed by leadership and ensures implementation within the Branch. Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, evaluate work performance of subordinates; gives advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. Monitors workload, delegates tasks and allocates resources to meet program objectives. Failure to disclose this information could result in disciplinary action including removal from Federal Service. Serve a one year probationary period, if required. Security requirements are dependent on the position for which selected, and may be designated at Top Secret, Secret, High Risk, Moderate Risk or Low Risk. Dependent on which position you are selected for you will be required to undergo and pass the appropriate Tier background investigation level. The incumbent of this position MAY be subject to drug testing. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience managing acquisition project actions from pre-award to award and post award. Experience includes acquisition expertise through managing Information Technology and/or Professional Service projects including: Providing technical and acquisition advice and expertise Analyzing and developing technical customer requirements Formulating and executing budget and project schedules Identifying and resolving acquisition problems/issues Coordinating with multiple project stakeholders Education Note: If you are using foreign education to meet qualification requirements, you must send a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with your transcript in order to receive credit for that education.
