Federal Acquisition Service Project Management Specialist in GSA, United States

Summary As a Project Management Specialist, you will deliver project management, technical, and financial support services to Government clients. Location of position: Please see Major Duties below for additional information. This office is a full spectrum, cradle-to-grave acquisition, project and financial management service provider. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed. Responsibilities This position is Category 2 with job functions that must be executed within specific geographic locations. The official duty station is a federal facility, leased space, or an alternative worksite (typically the employee’s home) within the specified geographic area. If you are selected for this position, you will be expected to report to the duty station listed on this announcement within 45 days. At that time, you may be eligible to request to telework one or more days a pay period depending upon the terms of the agency’s telework policy. The position is in GSA, Office of Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS), Acquisition and Procurement Center of Excellence (APEX). The Location of this position will be determined upon selection in one of the following States: the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Colorado, Florida, California, Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Washington, Illinois, South Carolina, Arizona (Candidate is required to reside or move to one of the states listed). Major duties include, but are not limited to the following: Manages project assignments in accordance with client requirements and ensures that all products and services are delivered on schedule and within budget. Works on the administration and management of the entire project, including project financial management. Provides responsive and targeted technical advice and guidance that takes into account the client needs and financial capacity. Develops accurate government requirements, measurable performance standards, and manages project life-cycle activities to ensure that intended outcomes are achieved. Collaborates with clients to define needs, research and analyze solution options, and provide other client- facing project management support as needed. For a brief video on creating a Federal resume, click here. The GS-11 salary range starts at $72,553.00 per year, and the GS-12 salary range starts at $86,962.00 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. Certain location-based pay entitlements (such as locality payment) are based on the location of the employee's official worksite associated with the employee's position of record. To qualify for the GS-11, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes experience managing project timelines, schedules, and budgets. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree , OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR LM., if related. *A combination of graduate level education and appropriate experience that together meet the qualification requirements of this position are qualifying. To qualify for the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrating full range of project management, financial management, and reviewing project milestones and deliverables. There is no substitution of education at this grade level.
