Your role at Baxter The Senior Installation Technician is a fast-paced position that operates at the intersection of construction and healthcare devices. Technicians are responsible for mechanical installation and final verification of large capital equipment located in operating rooms and intensive care units. Successful installation technicians are highly professional, self-motivated, and hard-working individuals. They demonstrate outstanding problem-solving skills in the face of on-site challenges. What you'll be doing Installation and verification of capital equipment. Implement the entire installation process, including post-order paperwork flow, pre-installation requirements, structure reviews, and site inspections. Lead projects optimally to exhibit an understanding of the principles behind the theories of project management and to ensure maximum efficiency of installations. Meet all customer product installation requirements on schedule and exercise good judgment to plan and prioritize effectively to satisfy customer demands. Complete written documents (records, reports, and forms) for internal, regulatory, and project documentation. Apply manufacturer service manuals, installation manuals, and documentation to provide troubleshooting, root cause and repair. Sustain a clean and safe work environment, including 5S activities, sweeping, mopping, and all other general "housekeeping" duties. Provide on-call coverage, up to 24/7 basis for account visits, and adapt to a constantly evolving daily schedule of activities. Perform complex repairs on Baxter Surgical Solutions products such as - electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or cosmetic problems requiring adjustment or repair. Complete data analysis and interpretation as required using various electronic devices such as PC, smart phone, tablet etc. Conduct effective, oral presentations of information to customers and coworkers. Support and understand compliance with all customer service and contractual expectations. Demonstrate a proactive approach to safety awareness and compliance by successfully completing all required safety and compliance learning modules on a timely basis, identifying safety concerns and correcting as necessary, identifying potential safety issues on products and/or repair procedures and providing feedback to management team. What you'll bring High School diploma or GED required. Ability to travel 95% of the time to various job sites across the US, with some night and weekend work required. 3-5 years of previous technical experience, preferred. Strong interpersonal & effective communication (verbal & written) skills, strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work well together and independently and as a part of a team with minimal direction. A basic level of proficiency with various hardware and assembly tools.
