Job Description
CONA Operations team supporting the special assets group(SAG) handles key administrative and procedural tasks for charge-off and non-accrual loans. Manages the transfer of loans into and out of the special assets portfolio, updates loan statuses to non-accrual when necessary when collectability is doubtful, and process non-performing maintenance on these loans by ensuring accurate documentation, general ledger adjustments, and compliance with bank processes and procedures and regulatory guidelines. This includes stopping interest accrual for non-accrual loans, charging off uncollectible balances, and coordinating with the special assets team as necessary to mitigate losses on distressed assets. This work keeps the financial records clean and supports recovery efforts. Some examples of processing on non performing loans includes SBA payments, status changes, transferring in/out of SAG, loan sales, charge offs, recovery payments, dead charge offs and other servicing loan maintenance as required on the banks system of record.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Typically eight or more years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
Advanced knowledge of legal documents used to support applicable loan/lease processing
Ability to work with legal staff to solve complex documentation needs
Ability to apply critical thinking for all elements of loan documentation construction
Ability to master the bank’s documentation software
Comprehensive knowledge of closing policies and procedures, funding policies, underwriting requirements, governmental and agency requirements, terminology and automated processing systems
Comprehensive knowledge of applicable credit policies and approval processes for assigned product(s)
Ability to work effectively and accurately in a fast paced, high production, professional environment
Strong organizational skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days. Office locations for this position are Tempe, AZ/ Gresham OR/St Paul , MN/Oshkosh, WI
Hours are 8am to 5pm with some flexibility

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $25.63 - $34.18 - $37.60
