SCRAM Systems Electrical Engineering Intern in Greenwood Village, Colorado
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our engineering team on various projects, gaining hands-on experience in electrical design, testing, analysis, and problem-solving. This internship is designed to provide you with exposure to real-world engineering applications, offering practical experience to complement your academic studies.
Intern Logistics:
Location: Onsite - Greenwood Village
Hours: Prefer full-time will work with school schedule
Internship Expected Start/End Date: May/Summer through August/Fall
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, testing, and development of electrical systems and components
Support the team in conducting experiments, simulations, and analyses to evaluate system performance
Help with the creation of technical documentation, reports, and presentations
Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas improving current designs or processes
Assist with drafting and modifying electrical schematics and diagrams using CAD software
Support the testing of electrical devices and systems in lab environments
Learn and adhere to safety and industry standards for electrical systems
Skills/Abilities:
Strong foundational knowledge of electrical engineering principles (circuit design, signal processing, etc.)
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with PCB layout software (e.g.,Altium) is a plus
Experience with simulation software (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice) is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Enthusiasm to learn and contribute to engineering projects
Education and Experience:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Previous internship or project experience in electrical engineering a plus
Knowledge of basic electrical testing equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters)
