Job Summary

The Transit & Storage Representative is responsible for overseeing the transportation and storage of Valley's product. This role involves coordinating logistics, ensuring safe and efficient movement of loads from one location to another, and managing storage of goods. 

Position Responsibilities

Accurate, detailed oriented customer service skills required to work in a fast-paced transportation and warehouse environment.  Ability to work well independently as well as directly with team members.

 

  • Use of Microsoft Suite – emphasis on Excel and Outlook. 

  • Provide daily support to company drivers to resolve various issues – OSD reports, delays, appointment changes, PO discrepancies.

  • Communicate with customers using email as well as phone to build and outstanding working relationship in a professional manner as well as increase sales.

  • Process incoming orders for pickup and delivery of product.

  • Daily operations include – Storage inbox, order entry, appointment scheduling, inbound/outbound scheduling, receiving verification, inventory adjustments/holds, invoicing, consolidation programs, benchmarks, scanning and other office related duties.

  • Cross train with other teammates for PTO coverage.

  • Display regular and predictable attendance.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
