Automation Engineer II

Location/Division Specific Information

As part of the Drug Product Division (DPD), the Greenville, North Carolina site is a multi-purpose pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, and packaging campus. The operation specializes in taking both sterile injectable and OSD drug products from development phase through to commercialization!

How will you make an impact?

Provide automation support for existing and future pharmaceutical process control systems. Develop and implement, in a timely and efficient manner, process technology to achieve user goals.

A Day in the Life:

  • Support automation projects by providing system design requirements, crafting documentation and procedures for new installations, commissioning and startups.

  • Ensure code and configurations for new systems align with specifications and data integrity requirements.

  • Provide automation system data to meet production or quality department requests.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject area preferred.

Experience

  • Up to two years of meaningful experience in either pharmaceutical automation or utility systems automation.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Allen-Bradley and B&R PLC's, DCS's and Rockwell FactoryTalk SCADA systems

  • SQL Server Database support

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

· Safety and area hazards include minor electrical work, process equipment, and noise.

· Some standing, walking, lifting, kneeling, crouching, reaching, gripping and grasping.
