SUMMARY:
The Test Engineer develops and implements automated RF and Mixed Signal test solutions. The Test Engineer supports the transition into high volume production as well as improving existing solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews product test specification and applicable test equipment requirements
Designs and debugs final test solution for semiconductor products primarily WiFi FEMs
Correlates ATE results to bench test results
Generates/troubleshoots test software on production ATE (e.g. Advantest, Teradyne, Cohu, NI)
Advises layout technician on design and fabrication of production test boards
Provides test software and hardware support to prototype test work centers as needed to meet customer sampling requirements while complying with product lifecycle tools
Reviews/submits production documentation and hardware for product release and test solution handoff to high volume production test environment
Supports Lean / Continuous-Improvement activities and quality improvement initiatives within the Test Development team
Uses production test processes such as correlation, ANOVA, De-Embedding for test solution development
Work closely with other Test Engineers in a tightly-knit team setting. Also works with Product, Design and Characterization Engineers on a daily basis.
Engage regularly with project team to track progress and resolve issues in a timely manner
QUALIFICATIONS:
Solid analytical and programming skills, strong interpersonal skills, self-starter and team player
Proficiency in high-level programming languages (C++, C#, VB, .NET)
Experience with the commercial ATE test platform highly desirable
Strong knowledge of circuits including RF fundamentals
Experience with RF devices especially WiFi highly desirable
Familiarity with lab equipment like signal generator, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, vector signal transceiver
Familiarity with the RF components commonly used (RF amplifiers, attenuators, filters, couplers, diplexers, tuners)
Familiarity with source control software like git or svn.
Familiarity with statistical data analysis tool such as JMP or Spotfire beneficial
BSEE degree required or equivalent course of study in an accredited college or university
Willingness to learn new processes and contribute to improvement of existing processes.
Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience
