RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversight of a Process Engineering Team in a 24x7 wafer fabrication facility manufacturing surface acoustic wave (SAW) and gallium arsenide (GaAs) based devices.

  • Sustain and improve production processes working in conjunction with equipment engineering, yield and quality, and manufacturing teams.

  • Manage receipt of new technologies from the Research and Development organizations and ensure manufacturability.

  • Provide technical leadership to the engineering team to quickly troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across broad array of fab technologies.

  • Drive a Lean culture of continuous improvement and waste elimination.

  • Interface with internal and external customers to ensure quality, technical, and supply needs are achieved.

  • Oversee factory roadmaps and execution for the responsible process areas.

  • Position may require occasional domestic travel of up to one week.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong background and understanding in wafer fab process engineering and integration.

  • Strong understanding and experience in one or more wafer fabrication process areas including photolithography, electroplating, CMP, and wet etch.

  • Strong data analytical skills and understanding of SPC, APC, FDC.

  • Leadership experience managing diverse teams toward complex goals.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external customers.

  • Understanding of Lean Principles and ability to model, teach, and facilitate organizational culture change.

  • Excellent communication, meeting facilitation and presentation skills.

Required Education and Experience:

  • BS in Engineering and minimum 8 years of semiconductor experience.

  • MS or PhD in Engineering is preferred.
