What you will do
At Volvo Trucks, you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. As a Lead Project manager, Tech Platform Programs, you will be responsible for ensuring the right solutions in our portfolio are developed and introduced to our vehicles to launch the next level of connected vehicle platform. You will be a key player in the most extensive software defined vehicle solution for the future. You will work in close cooperation with a variety of stakeholders and solution providers to ensure the technical delivery is on target according to the project pre-requisites. The PME Tech Platform is responsible to lead the Quality, Delivery, Cost, Features within a team of engineering and cross functional teams. We work in an Agile environment and are in the process of transitioned to Product Streams, from Project Streams. You will follow the agile methodology and will manage new technology implementation into the North American products.

Our team, Project Management Office, is a vital function inside of the vehicle engineering organization which includes electrical, chassis, complete vehicle, product development and integration to deliver a strategic project for Mack and Volvo Trucks. A team player mindset interacting through a broad network, having the skills to transfer high level prerequisites into project requirements and deliverable.
Ability to communicate and report project QDCFS in reference group and management teams.
Understanding for the importance to prioritize and focus the project on the main areas contributing to delivering the technical solution.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or similar is required; MS preferred
8-12+ years of experience in automotive or a related field
Specific experience in Product Development, Heavy Duty Truck industry
Specific knowledge of the Volvo/Mack Product a plus
Project Management and/or cross-functional team lead experience preferred
Preferred
Strong understanding of Electrical Systems & Technology platform development.
Experience with Agile methodology.
Able to properly document, plan, and coordinate among multiple projects
Adaptable and Able to quickly dig into technical topics questions, evaluate impacts, summarize, and provide technical recommendations.
Senior presence and ability to influence final decisions as an advising stakeholder
Strong analytical, financial and leadership skills
Insightful and able to see the big picture
