The Grant Specialist is responsible for researching, preparing, submitting, and facilitating the grant process from pre-award to post-award and includes monitoring, reporting, and compliance. This position requires strong skills in writing, data analysis, program budgeting, project management, and outcome measurement.

Duties Performed:

Explore and research diverse types of grant opportunities and the criteria to qualify for each grant. Discuss available sources of funding with managers and leadership and take the lead on grant proposal development and submission. Prepare and organize materials for proposals; submit and monitor grant applications in alignment with the agency key business results. Draft proposals/LOIs, grant application narratives, and budgets according to application requirements. Ensure grants are submitted on time and within application parameters. When applicable, prepare and submit grant revisi Write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals. Maintain a master calendar of grant opportunities, including deadline dates and required materials. Maintains grant prospects and all associated files and correspondence and maintains grant support documents. Monitor grant spending to ensure grant funds are used in the performance time period. Utilize excellent time management and organizational skills to establish grant proposal timelines and best practices. Execute thank you letters and facilitate grant contracts/agreements, ensuring acknowledgment of and building relationships with funding sources.
