City Of Greeley Experienced Commercial Drivers -Bus Operators(Greeley-Evans) in Greeley, Colorado

*Starting wage for Current CDL Class B-P2 Holders: $24.81

Full Salary Range: $21.54 - $28.03 Hourly

The City of Greeley is seeking full-time, time, and part-time experienced CDL drivers for our Greeley-Evans Transit program, who have a CDL with a Class B-P2 Passenger and Air Brake Endorsement.

Full time employees work between 35-39 hours per week time employees work between 30-34 hours per week Part-time employees can work up to 29 hours per week

Job Summary: Under the general direction and supervision of the Mobility Manager, Mobility Operations Supervisor, Transit Route Supervisors, and dispatch performs a variety of tasks related to the safe transportation of passengers within the City of Greeley Mobility Services and Greeley Evans Transit (GET) service area, including responsibility for system wide policy adherence, on-time performance, safety compliance. Responsible for decision making including the most effective and efficient routing alternatives, to minimize service interruptions, and provide accurate verbal and written reports of events, accidents, and driver performance.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 19 years of age (company policy). Must have a current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) holder with Class B-P2 passenger and air brake endorsements Previous Bus Operator experience preferred. MVR review required as part of the post offer pre-employment screening process. Ability to pass and maintain DOT Physical Requirements. Safety sensitive position requires mandatory and/or random drug and alcohol screenings. Complete on-going GET bus driver training programs including updates on FTA, DOT, ADA Paratransit, and safety information. Required to attend workshops such as train the trainer, diversity training, supervisor training, etc. Must participate in Federal Transportation Administration FTA and Department of Transportation DOT mandated Drug & Alcohol testing programs. Knowledge, understanding, and ability to adhere to Federal Transportation Administration (FTA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication skills and the ability to write and be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to deal effectively with conflict in the workplace and make decisions consistent with core values and departmental goals. Work independently, follow written and verbal instructions. Analyze situations accurately and make appropriate decisions and recommendations. Familiar with Greeley Evans Transit (GET) routes and schedules. Establish and maintain effective working relationships. Safe operation of vehicle with few or no at fault accidents. Ability to read English and interpret traffic signs, schedules and posted memos. Ability to speak Spanish is beneficial. Ability to perform under a variety of pressures to deal with distractions while driving. Knowledge of streets, locations, restaurants, and hotels of the GET area. Ability to get results from teamwork. Ability to safely operate a bus under adverse weather conditions. Ability to respond professionally to passenger requests/questions and all two-way radio communications. Ability to be seated in a moving vehicle for extensive periods. Exceptional knowledge of all routes and time points for the purpose of proof-reading passenger manifests, maps, and schedules.
