JBS USA ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF CATEGORY MANAGEMENT in Greeley, Colorado

Associate Director of Category Management

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: The Associate Director of Category Management will support defining existing business portfolio and key customer plans. Will lead cross-functional business teams in the planning, execution and analysis of various business initiatives related to products, pricing, promotion, and packaging across all categories and key specific customers. Will build plans to deliver on annual and long-term financial goals and collaborate with our retailer partners to drive category growth. You will have exposure to all functional activities in the business including Sales, Operations, R&D, S&OP and Finance, which results in a holistic approach to driving business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Full category P&L responsibility.

  • Manage price for Private Label and Food Service.

  • Work with sales and supply team to recommend the sales forecast and SKU allocation to drive strategic business growth.

  • Define segment strategy and customer strategy to support Sales and Business Development.

  • Support customer specific programs that optimize product assortment and analyze demand and category sales at the customer.

  • Support sales with tools, materials and selling insights they need to achieve sales objectives.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs throughout the selling and supply chain.

  • Identify product and customer initiatives to drive growth and/or profitability.

  • Support product management and/or cost reduction projects with internal and external resources to achieve results (product development, demand planning, trade promotions, and customer/market research).

  • Collaborate with other JBS Business Units to share information and leverage opportunities to supply or source products for company programs.

  • Support account-specific category insights with a customer-centric mindset.

  • Lead RFP process and identify best business opportunities.

  • Travel to production facility, as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Marketing / Business / Finance).

  • 8-10 years’ experience required, CPG preferred.

  • Analytical and critical thinking skills, accuracy and attention to details.

  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits :

  • Benefits : Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

  • Paid Time Off : sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;

  • 401(k) : company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;

  • Base salary range of $130,000 - $160,000 ; and

  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
