The Opportunity: As an integral part of the Westrock PMA future success, reporting to the Applications Manager the Applications Engineer will be responsible for creating detailed system concepts and technical quotations for machinery to support the sales team. Leading small projects and assisting the project and technical sales team with other support activities into the manufacturing environment throughout project life cycle, from initial concept through to a final product / process release and supporting the sales team to find and create the best solution.

How You Will Impact WestRock:

• Providing full support across the business to meeting company and OKR Target / Objectives and direct customer solutions where applicable.

• Proactively support the Sales team to develop full OEM Systems.

• Creating detailed system concepts.

• Proactively help the sales team to expand ecommerce platform of equipment.

• Provide detailed technical quotations and costings in a timely manner in line with our business OKRs.

• Provide technical support from initial sales enquiry and throughout the project timeline.

• Understand and support team with all order changes and specification changes within projects.

• Ensuring all technical files are completed as per requirements.

• Ensuring all deadlines/milestones are met throughout the project.

• Support staff personal development opportunities are identified to benefit business OKR performance.

• Taking direct feedback from staff to improve projects performance.

• Encourage and drive a developing 5S process for Westrock site.

Experience and Skills required:

• Excellent organisational skills.

• Good verbal and written communication.

• Self-motivated individual.

• Adaptable and flexible.

• Technical knowledge of WestRock machinery or similar machinery preferred but not essential.

• Knowledge of engineering.

• Understanding and knowledge of automated machinery solutions
