Naval Medical Command HEALTH SYSTEM SPECIALIST in Great Lakes, Illinois

Summary You will serve as a HEALTH SYSTEMS SPECIALIST in the of Bureau of Medicine and Surgery Military Treatment Facility (BUMED MTF) NMRTC GREAT LAKES IL. This announcement uses the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD / Modified Direct Hire Authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. Responsibilities You will generate standard and customized management reports and charts using various automated systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness while monitoring the system for possible cases nearing delinquency. You will be responsible for Patient Admissions Department in answering congressional inquiries regarding any aspect of Medical Evaluation Boards (MEB) operations within the allotted time. You will track all assigned cases, analyzes performance against established metrics related to Disability Evaluation System (DES) processing performance. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Experience working with medical agencies such as Medical Evaluation Boards, Physical Evaluation boards or similar medical agencies to ensure beneficiaries information is delivered timely. - Experience interpreting and applying complex policies and regulations to counsel and resolve individual disability cases/claims. - Experience tracking disability cases and analyze performance metrics and data. - Experience utilizing ingenuity and resources to execute programs for disability for military and civilian personnel.
