Local assisted living facility is seeking a full-time Cook. Qualifications: High School or equivalent; ability to read, written and speak English; ability to make simple mathematical calculations; ability to follow written and oral directions and interact tactfully with residents and the public; must be mobile; prefer 6 months of experience in food preparation and safe handling of food and equipment and 1 year of Line Cook experience is needed; obtain/maintain valid Serve Safe/Food Handler's permit. Duties: supervise culinary staff in the absence of the Director; prepare and serve food items in accordance with regulations; ensure food storage areas are clean and properly arranged; assist in purchase of food and supplies; dispose of food and waste in accordance with policy; prepare food stuffs. Hours: varied. Wage: depends on experience up to $16/hr.
